How to Change Page Orientation in Google Docs

Sometimes when working in Google Docs, you may want to rotate the page to landscape orientation instead of the default portrait orientation.

Luckily, this is something that is very easy to do.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to change page orientation in Google Docs.

Changing Page Orientation

Page orientation is changed through the page setup settings.

Here are the steps to change your page orientation:

1. In the top menu, select File

page-orientation-1

2. From the drop-down menu, select Page setup

page-orientation-2

3. Under the orientation area, select Landscape

page-orientation-3

4. Select the blue OK button when you are done

page-orientation-4

The orientation of your file will now be set to landscape orientation

Closing Thoughts

Under the page setup settings, you can even set landscape orientation to be the default orientation if you wish to do so.

If you only want to set a certain page as landscape orientation in Google Docs, you will have to highlight the information on that page, and instead of applying landscape to the whole document, you can apply it only to the selected content through the page setup settings.

Landscape mode might affect the format of certain media elements you have in your file as well, so pay attention to how it affects the elements in your file so that nothing looks out of place when adjusting your orientation.
