Google Sheets is a powerful spreadsheet program for not only working with data but also for creating visually appealing charts and graphs.
A chart creates a useful visual representation of your data that can make it easier to understand trends and see what is going on with your data.
Sometimes after creating a chart you may want to print it out for future use.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to print a chart in Google Sheets.

How to Print a Chart
I will show two methods for printing a chart from your spreadsheet. Both methods work equally well, so whichever one you choose is up to you.
The methods are:
- Save as PDF and Print
- Copy to Google Doc and Print
Save as PDF and Print
One of the easiest methods is to just save your chart/graph as a PDF and then print after opening the PDF version.
Here is how this is done:
1. First navigate to your chart and select the three-d0t menu in the top right corner of your chart. From here select Download>PDF document
2. From here you can name your file and save it in whichever folder you want on your computer
3. After you have saved the file as a PDF, open the file on your computer. From here you should see a print button and you can select that to print your chart
Copy to Google Doc and Print
Another simple option we have for printing a chart is to copy the chart to a Google Doc and then print the Google Doc.
Here is how this is done:
1. Select your chart and select the three-dot menu in the upper right corner. From here, select Copy chart
2. Open up a Google Doc and Paste the chart into the file
3. You will see a Paste chart dialog box pop up. Select Paste unlinked and click the blue Paste button
4. You should now see your chart in your Google doc
5. From here you can select the print option to print out your chart/graph
Closing Thoughts
There is not currently an option to print a chart directly from Google Sheets unless you want to print out the other data in your spreadsheet too.
However the two methods I have shown here only take a few seconds to set up to get your chart printed out. If you were struggling to do this before, hopefully, you now have a method figured out that works for you. Be sure to watch the video if you are still confused.
