Google Sheets is a powerful tool for not only doing spreadsheet work but also for creating various charts and graphs.
Sometimes when working with charts and graphs in Google Sheets, you may want to end up downloading or saving your chart as an image.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to save a chart as an image in Google Sheets
Table of Contents
Saving a Chart as an Image
If you have a chart created in Google Sheets that you want to save, here is what you need to do:
1. Click on the chart, and select the three-dot menu in the upper right corner
2. In the drop-down menu, select Download>PNG Image (you can also save as a PDF or SVG if you wish)
3. Next choose where you want to save the chart on your computer and press save. You will now have saved your chart as an image
Pasting into a Word Document
You can also copy and paste your chart into a Google docs word document file. Once you have your chart in a Google docs file you can choose to download, or even print your chart.
This is another great option if you want to download the file that contains the chart instead of saving the chart as an image.
Closing Thoughts
Saving your chart or graph as an image directly from Google Sheets, or copying and paste your chart into a document and saving are the two best methods.
You can also publish your chart to the web and download it from there, but just downloading it straight from sheets is much easier.
